Financial Contributions

The Santa Rosa Tool Library is run entirely by volunteers so every dollar we raise goes back to our community.  All contributions will go into our general fund so we can cover our operational expenses and keep our collection of tools well maintained. This community resource thrives on the generosity of its users. 

Please consider helping us maintain free tool lending in Sonoma County.  All contributions are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the tool library soon.

Before donating: 

• Your tool donations keep our library thriving! To keep our lending system running smoothly, we may not be able to accept every item, but we’re always happy to review what you’d like to offer. Please send photos and descriptions to fixit@borrowtools.org or text (707) 229-3949 and a volunteer will respond with further information.

We can accept tools:

• In Good Condition: Tools should be clean, complete, and in good working order.

• Must be ready to lend: Items should be able to go straight onto our shelves — no repairs and no deep cleaning required.

• Battery-Powered: Must include a working battery and charger with tool donation.

• Portable: Only portable tools accepted; large or heavy tools will not be accepted.

We cannot accept:

• Broken, rusted, or unsafe tools.

• Gas-powered equipment

• Pneumatic Tools

• Incomplete tools missing key parts or accessories.

• Hardware or consumables (nails, screws, sandpaper, etc.).

• We do not purchase any tools

Note: Tool Donation Pickups will not be offered at this time. All tools must be dropped off during open hours.
